يعقد برزخ ورشتي كتابة مدة كل منهما نصف يوم. ويهدف إلى إبراز سردياتنا المحلية في أوقات العنف التي نعيشها حيث نشهد جميعًا ونعيش الجرائم والفظائع في فلسطين على يد الاستعمار الاستيطاني الإسرائيلي.
خلال ورشتي العمل، سنفتح مساحة جماعية للمشاركة والتفكير بشكل جماعي، ببطء وبشكل وثيق، في الموضوع المقترح “سردياتنا في زمن العنف”.
سوف يتفاعل المشاركون/المشاركات مع الأدب الفلسطيني. رواية عدنية شبلي “تفصيل ثانوي” للورشة الأولى أو رواية غسان كنفاني “القنديل الصغير” للورشة الثانية.
الورشة الأولى: تفصيل ثانوي
في هذه الورشة، ندعو 10 مشاركين لقراءة رواية عدنية شبلي “تفصيل ثانوي” أو أجزاء منها (سيتم تحديد التفاصيل في رسالة الدعوة الإلكترونية). خلال ورشة العمل، سينخرط المشاركون في أفكار حول قدرتنا وإرادتنا وحاجتنا للتعامل مع العنف الإستيطاني. سنعمل معاً على إظهار سردياتنا الجماعية حول هذا العنف. وسيتم ذلك من خلال تمارين الكتابة الجماعية والفردية، والمشاركة الجماعية والمناقشات لاستكشاف الموضوع.
القراءة باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية.
الورشة باللغة العربية.
يمكن أن تكون الكتابات بأي لغة.

في هذه الورشة، ندعو 10 مشاركين لقراءة رواية غسان كنفاني “القنديل الصغير” أو أجزاء منها (سيتم تحديد التفاصيل في رسالة الدعوة الإلكترونية). خلال ورشة العمل، سينخرط المشاركون في التفكر حول موضوع الخيال وطرق العمل خلال أعمال العنف الخانقة في غزة. سنعمل معاً على إكتشاف و بحث في طرقنا المختلفة لجلب القليل من الضوء إلى غزة.
وسيتم ذلك من خلال تمارين الكتابة الجماعية والفردية، والمشاركة الجماعية والمناقشات لاستكشاف الموضوع.

Barzakh is holding two half-day writing workshops. It aims to surface our local narratives in our times of violence as we are all witnessing and living the criminalities and atrocities in Palestine by the Israeli settler colonialism.
During the two workshops, we will be opening a collective space to engage and reflect collectively, slowly, and intimately with the theme proposed “Our Narratives in Times of Violence”.
Participants will actively engage with Palestinian literature; Adania Shibli’s book “Minor Detail” for workshop 1 or Ghassan Kanafani’s book “Little Lantern” for workshop 2.
Workshop 1: Minor Detail
The first workshop will deal with Adania Shibli’s novel “Minor Detail”, 10 participants will be selected to read the novel or parts of it before attending (details will be specified in the invitation email). During the workshop, we will address our capacity, will, and need to deal with settler violence. This will be done through collective and individual writing exercises as well as collective sharing and discussion.
The reading is in Arabic and English.
The workshop will be facilitated in Arabic. Writings can be in any language.
If selected, you will hear back from us by the end of November 1st. An invitation will be sent including all the details as well how the get the novel. Note: Writing experience is not needed to participate in this workshop

Workshop 2: Little Lantern
For this workshop, we invite 10 selected participants to read the novel Ghassan Kanafani’s book “Little Lantern” or parts of them (details will be specified in the invitation email).
During the workshop, the participants will engage in reflections about the theme of theme of “imagination and ways of doing during the crippling violence on Gaza”. We will explore together our different ways to bring little light (lanterns) to Gaza.
This will be done through collective and individual writing exercises, and collective sharing and discussions to explore the topic.
The reading is in Arabic and English.
The workshop is in Arabic. Writings can be in any language.
If selected, you will hear back from us by the end of November 13th. An invitation will be sent including all the details as well as how to get the novel. Note: Writing experience is not needed to participate in this workshop.
